On December 14, 2016, GARDN’s Board of Directors added four new R&D projects to its portfolio.
With a consistent view to making aviation more quiet, clean and sustainable, the projects are as follows:
- Experimental Validation of Innovative Environmentally Friendly Aircraft Configurations – Extension for Noise Measurements, led by Bombardier Aerospace
- Reuse Uncured Aerospace Preimpregnated Composite Materials in Commercial Applications, led by Boeing Canada
- Turboprop Flight Advisory System Enhancements, Testing and Engine Model Development, led by Specific Range Solutions Ltd.
- CMC-21 (Project Extension): Flight Management Performance Optimization III, led by Esterline CMC Electronics
The call for projects was issued in the wake of the Annual General Meeting held in September 2016. GARDN received ten research project proposals seeking total funding of close to $3.9 million.
Project details will follow shortly.
