Discover Impacts of REACH Regulations on the Aerospace Sector at GARDN’s 3rd Integration Workshop
GARDN’s 3rd Integration Workshop will be the occasion to welcome EcoMundo, a team of scientist experts in chemical substances and their regulations, to present the practical aspects of the European Union chemical regulations and their impact on the aerospace sector.
REACH is a regulation of the European Union, adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals, while enhancing the competitiveness of the EU chemicals industry.
90% of industries are concerned by the European chemicals regulation. In fact, chemical substances are the backbone of the industry. Their use can be restricted or banned depending on their level of danger for human health and the environment.
The aeronautics sector deals with very high levels of technical and airworthiness requirements.
Actors from the aeronautics and space industry are particularly concerned with:
- Traceability and reporting of substances of very high concern (SVHC)
- Obtaining authorization after the “sunset date” to be able to continue using the banned substances (Annex XIV of REACH)
- REACH registration process for substances used between 1 and 100 tonnes
EcoMundo’s presentation will focus on REACH compliance and will enable you to characterize the regulatory risk associated with your substances portfolio through prospective studies.
